This is a blog post I wrote for Scholarly Peers on my view of peer review. My thinking on this evolves as I gain more and more experience with review and editorial work. Peer review is (notoriously) with many, many flaws, but probably the best working solution we have so far. Still, the onus is on us to make it a little bit better day by day.š¤š»
